Kevin J. Silverang
Co-Founder
Kevin Silverang is a principal and founding partner of
Silverang Hallowell Development Company, a development company
specializing in acquiring and developing value added real estate. Mr.
Silverang is an entrepreneur who has personally developed over
$250 million of property and co-founded two multi-million dollar
real estate equity funds. Prior to formation of Silverang
Hallowell, he served as Executive Vice President and General
Counsel of O'Neill Properties Group where he oversaw a portfolio
of real estate with a retail value of over $4 billion. Prior
to joining O’Neill Properties Group, Mr. Silverang served
as Managing Partner of law firm Buchanan Ingersoll's Philadelphia
office, Vice Chairman of the firm's real estate and banking practice,
and a member of the executive committee and board of directors.
His team at Buchanan Ingersoll handled more than $1 billion of
transactions from 1997 - 2003 for clients, including real estate
developers, investors, banks, and corporations.
Mr. Silverang
holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Franklin & Marshall
College, and obtained his law degree, cum laude, from
Villanova University. He is a frequent lecturer on real
estate subjects at seminars sponsored by the Philadelphia Bar
Association and the Pennsylvania Bar Institute.
Mark B. Hallowell
Co-Founder
Mark Hallowell is a principal and founding partner of Silverang
Hallowell Development Company. Mr. Hallowell brings over
thirty years of construction and development experience to Silverang
Hallowell. In 1975, he founded his first construction company,
Hallowell Construction, which continues today to be one of the
premier builders of fine homes along Philadelphia’s Main
Line. Hallowell Construction’s projects, which range
from modest home renovations to new construction projects of
over $10 million, have earned various excellence awards from
the Heritage Commission of Delaware County, the Main Line Home
Builders Association, and Builder Magazine, among others. Mr.
Hallowell’s expertise extends also to commercial and industrial
construction management. As the founder of Berkshire Construction
Management, Mr. Hallowell led all aspects of the development
and construction of Marriott hotels and other major projects. Mr.
Hallowell guided Berkshire’s $33 million York Square condominium
project from its inception to its sold-out and on-time delivery
in 2005. This project, which brought new vibrancy to a
corner of the city’s historic Old City district, won various
awards, including a citation from the 10,000 Friends of Pennsylvania
preservation society.
Mr. Hallowell is an active member of the
Philadelphia development community. He regularly participates
in local land use forums, and is a vocal proponent of the New
Urbanism theory of real estate development. Mr. Hallowell, a
graduate of Gettysburg College, resides with his wife and their
four children in St. Davids, Pennsylvania.
Michael D. Rosefeldt
Mr. Rosefeldt is Senior Investment Analyst of Silverang Hallowell
Development Company. His expansive real estate industry
knowledge and analytical skills are focused on providing property
and financial analysis and helping to structure project debt
and equity financing. Prior to joining Silverang Hallowell,
Mr. Rosefeldt served as Due Diligence Analyst at DeSanto Realty
Group where he was responsible for assessing investment opportunities
and providing financial analysis for a growing portfolio of tenant-in-common
properties. Prior to that, Mr. Rosefeldt was an analyst
with O’Neill Properties Group where he worked extensively
with Kevin Silverang. In addition to his time spent at
DeSanto and O’Neill, he also served as a Fund Accountant
for SEI Investments, a leading global provider of outsourced
asset management and investment operations solutions.
Mr. Rosefeldt graduated, cum laude, from St. Joseph’s University
with a dual B.S. Degree in Finance and Management Information
Systems. He is an active volunteer with Big Brothers of Montgomery
County.
