& Marshall College
Silverang Hallowell
has completed the first phase of an on-going collaboration
with Franklin & Marshall College
in Lancaster, PA to provide students with high quality off-campus
housing. Silverang Hallowell is providing housing for
240 students in existing properties immediately surrounding
the campus. We completed all renovations on the properties,
including installing sprinkler and security systems to ensure
the properties meet uniform housing standards. Under
a master lease with the College, 160 students moved into
our properties in August 2008 and 80 others moved in
to the second phase of renovated homes in August 2009. Our
work renovating these infill properties helps clean up the
neighborhood, provides students with best quality housing,
and provides our investors with a steady rental revenue stream
even in the most challenging real estate environments.
Due to the success of our partnership with Franklin & Marshall,
Silverang Hallowell is currently pursuing similar residential
and mixed-use projects with other colleges, including Kings
College in Wilkes-Barre, PA and Bucknell University.
